About Me

My Story
As a designer for the last 25 years, and Chief Executive Officer at Sundberg-Ferar, I lead teams to design with purpose and create new futures. My passion for learning and translating complex problems into simplified solutions has helped organizations bring game-changing solutions to market.

My design journey began with a love for cars, leading me to Detroit to earn a degree in Industrial Design from the College for Creative Studies. I've been fortunate enough to design vehicles at General Motors, ASC, SALEEN, before joining SF over a decade ago.

I also serves as president of the Michigan Design Council, a non-profit organization dedicated to cultivating and retaining industrial design talent in the state, where I oversee the annual K-12 Michigan Design Prize that helps to inspire young designers about various design career opportunities in Michigan. I also continue to teach design studios each year at CCS, helping inspire tomorrow’s designers, while being inspired by the students’ everlasting desire to improve our world through design.

“I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with people and organizations to design something new every day. Questions that begin with “What is the future of…” get me up every morning with an endless desire to figure out what that future is and how we can make it a reality.”
